Weathered Old Barn

Finally able to get out and about this morning to look for some barns to add to my gallery. I captured this one not to far from Scottsburg, Indiana. It has been a really gloomy weekend, but the gray clouds give the image a bit more effect. Click here to see the other image from today.

Red Barn

This is one of my drive by shooting barns.  Located right on the highway, I stopped and quickly rattled off 2 shots.  This image was captured with my Canon G11, which is with me most of the time.  Great little camera when you don’t want to drag out the big gear.  There is another shot of this barn on my website you can see here.

Stormy Day

Following the high winds and finally some rain in the area yesterday, we are left with almost no autumn color.  High winds will continue today.  Photo opportunities still abound here in South Central Indiana.  Trying to get some work done around the house , but hopefully this evening the ole Nikon will be hard at work.

For this post I have included an image captured last fall on one of my drives home from northern Ohio.  My Tokina 11 -16 F2.8 wide angle lens was used for this capture. You can see a larger image here.

As winter finally releases its hold, hopefully we can begin to capture some barns with a bit of spring color. This barn was captured up in northwest Ohio on a very gray and gloomy March day. All the same, still a very nice barn!

What a long, cold, and snowy winter it has been here in Indiana this year. This weather still makes for some good photo ops. Wish I still had my Jeep though. There would definitely be more photo ops if I did.

Another Winter Day

Rusty and Weathered

Well we are finally warming up a bit here in Indiana.  As you can see above, the snow is melting away.  Hopefully this will be the last of the white stuff this year!  These are the types of barns that I just love to stumble upon.  Extremely weathered and worn.
