I stumbled across these old Case tractors lined up at the annual Heartnut Festival. This festival is held at the Johnson County Park located just west of Edinburgh, IN. We were blessed with a wonderful day to just walk around and enjoy the sites and sounds.
Have a great week!

Captured this nice garden scene while walking around downtown Nashville, Indiana this past Sunday afternoon. All the color and shapes really caught my eye.

While taking a long day trip yesterday into Ohio, I stumbled across this old Mail Pouch barn. This is located on highway 42, close to Waynesville, OH.
These barns are getting harder and harder to find, so you can imagine the excitement when one of these shows up along side the road. The time of day for this shot was not my favorite, but I made do with what I had. This was shot with my circular polarizing filter attached to my Nikkor 18-200 VR lens. I also used some fill flash to bring out some color and detail in the barn. View this image larger by clicking here.

This image was taken with my new Canon G10. I needed a camera that could be carried with me all the time. So far I am really happy with this little tool. While it will never replace my Nikon D200, it does a really good job. This image was captured during my lunch break last week. You can see some of my other work with this camera by clicking here.
Have a great week!

Finally, spring time here in south central Indiana. The Red Buds are in full bloom, and the different shades of green one can see are amazing. All of my recent images were taken either during, or right after a rain shower. Click here to see all of my recent images.
Stop back soon.

These store fronts are located in a small Indiana town called Bowling Green. It appeared that all the businesses had abandoned the buildings. All the different colors and lines make this image interesting to me. Click here for a larger view.

Rusty and Weathered
Well we are finally warming up a bit here in Indiana. As you can see above, the snow is melting away. Hopefully this will be the last of the white stuff this year! These are the types of barns that I just love to stumble upon. Extremely weathered and worn. I have posted several other new images this past month that can be seen on my website Country Roads Photo. Once there, just click on the Recent Photo’s link at the top of my home page.
Thanks for visiting and stop back soon. Have a great day!

Sorry folks, but with winter, and having a terrible cold, I have just not found the time to get out and take some good images. My thoughts are that this would be a perfect time to share a black and white image of the old grist mill located in Cades Cove, deep in the heart of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park.
I have shot this on a couple of occasions, but find this black and white to be very pleasing. I call it “Walk Inside” . We spoke about this image in our photography club last night. When asked why I chose the title, my explanation was the wooden walkway and the open door. Looking at these two points in the image, I immediately want to walk inside.

This past week members of my photo club took a trip down to Maggie Valley, North Carolina. This was my first excursion involving nothing but photography. What a great time we had. The weather and the color in the mountains was absolutely beautiful. This was truly a memorable trip. To see more of my images from the trip, click here. I will be adding new images daily. We put in some very long days, but in the end the work was well worth the effort, both in terms of images captured and the learning we were able to share with one another.
Stop back soon, and don’t forget to check out my galleries.

Sorry it’s been awhile since posting here, but as you can tell the summer months are not my favorite for photography. Just a bit to hot and hazy for my tastes. I do on occasion enjoy getting my macro lens out to shoot some of the nice flowers that bloom this time of year.
The image above is a Black-eyed Susan that grows on the side of my house. This flower is one of my favorites. You can see another image of the same flower located here.
These images look great on the canvas gallery wraps that we offer. Visit my online gallery, Country Roads Photo for more great images and information.
